Mulders vandenBerk Architecten of Amsterdam planned this playground construction in a garden in Utrecht , Netherlands , with a Corian frontage carved with figures of fairy story from round the Earth. The mind of the construction is to charge up and energize wonder and creativeness of the kids.
The pavilion divides the playground in 2. 1 corner is applied by adolescents, another by junior kids. The inside is distributed into 3 parts playrooms having shiny paints, plain furniture and components to interact with. Every space is connected to a single frontage and tenders a particular positioning to its circumstance. This mixed with an unusual “wallpaper” grants a specific identity to every space. The plan bids kids to play, to find out and devise games.

The outside of the construction is the reverse of the ‘dynamic’ playground with it’s a lot of climbing borders and glides. The construction is a quiet oasis in the playground. The frontage is a big white Corian level with processed jagged lines. At first glance there are just lines. A 2nd sight exposes ornamental characters; fairy story from round the Earth. Pictorial plan studio Design Arbeid chose jointly with the vicinity kids the different fairy story. The graphic plan is cnc-milled away of the frontage to energize the feels and the imagination.
