Salone del Mobile 2010, Edra has presented its new collection of furniture by the Brazilian designers Fernando and Humberto Campana.The collection name is an evocative, Barbarians: the designers wanted to give aesthetics and structure of materials, that elusive transition from ancient to modern times, according to historians marked the arrival of so-called “barbarians” in the western world , to disrupt patterns of empires vested with courage but also with blood.
This metaphor to address the issue of natural materials and colors in the contemporary era, with the same passion and the energy that the barbarians began the conquest of the world.
The pieces in the collection include three sessions, a table, a hanging lamp, coffee table, a cupboard and a single container covered with raffia.
