Gold Coast Main Beach House Residence by BDA Architecture
This beach house has urban style was designed by BDA Architecture
Houses simple, single-family beach house is designed to replace the existing dwelling on a site that already has a client for several years. The main design idea is to embrace the two-story enclosed outdoor living and connecting homes and gardens overlooking the Broadwater.
The resulting design meets the client brief which includes the main elements of the following:
- An elevated living room opening onto garden with stunning views over the Broadwater
- A guest bedroom, bathroom, and washing the main entry on the main level
- A main bedroom, living room, office and a separate bedroom on the upper level all with water views
- Car parking and storage in underground
Continue to form a compact two-story built urban fabric of the characteristics of the Main Beach, on both road frontages, celebrated street corner with a hidden double height, outdoor living space. Elevated 1.5m house over the road towards optimizing the view of the water park. This device has enabled the two road frontages to be beautiful is extensively used in combination ha with an altitude lower than the normal street walls that provide privacy and views for the residents of the community while enhancing the ease of the streetscape.
Designed to take advantage of the summer winds prevailing, this house contains a number of passive ESD initiatives. This has opened the windows on all sides to give good natural ventilation. North and west elevation, which is extensively glazed, shaded by louvred screens reduce operating profits in the summer sun and allow sun to penetrate the interior during the winter. More solid south wall to exclude the cold winter wind. Walls, floors and generally light-colored roof to reflect heat. A water tank is a large underground water collected to be reused on site and environmentally friendly has been used at all.
Materials consist of paint, making a concrete wall to external wall in general. Window frames and shutters are anodised aluminum. Terrazzo floors are generally white with some natural wood boarding area.
