Modern H House in San Francisco California by Group 41 designers
In a metropolis like San Francisco where a moratorium about destruction sets utmost building plans to being originative renditions of a redevelopment, a fresh, ground-up building is a oddity. Rectilinear and angular, the H home is designer/developer Joel Karr’s 1st ground-up development attribute and interprets a welcomed chance to fast Group 41’s own identifying mark of modernist plan.
Set in the hills above Noe Valley, the structure commands sweeping looks at of the Oakland Hills and the city skyline under. Surrounded by the regular blend of Edwardian, Victorian Italianate and 1940 redevelopments, the H home takes a hard modernist position while even observing the scale and proportion of it is neighbors. From the street, the home is planned to be purposefully modest – a simple boxy 2 report structure. However, the deceivingly spacious mansion cascades down the hill, creating the utmost of specify and down sloped site.

Art as Entry
Group 41 authorized a localized creative person to make a one-of-a-kind steel entry gate. The striated swathes of mild steel weigh in at over 600 pounds but nevertheless glide effortlessly exposed, welcoming visitors into an atrium gap, lined with refined black basalt.
Black Stacked Slate fence Adds Drama and Anchors Structure to the Hill
