A beam that perforates into the architecture constantly motions and ne’er stays. It’s a symbolic spectacle. A beam that runs through the hollow is planned in an encircle form, motions unlimitedly, and ne’er stays. Sometimes, it vanishes, and it seems.
The site is placed in Gojo, Kyoto . It’s in a block of the representative variance of a conventional residential district in Kyoto . The place confronts the active road of 4m in width on the western corner. The back end of the high-rise constructions of 45m aligns on the eastern corner of the place. The near homes are intimately constructed in the southern and the northern of the place. The one-storied home elevated to the sky causes “2 external places located amongst 3 internal places”. The breeze and the beam of nature accumulate from the sky into 2 external void places. And that expands to 3 internal places. The composition of the places from the road corner to the rear is in much an order as “indoor – outdoor – indoor – outdoor – indoor”. The road front place is the seminar for the crest creating. The mid place is the living-room. And the backspace is the sleeping room. The spaces between those 3 gaps are planned as “void”.
Mass mobilize round those 2 voids. A lot of circular hollows are created for the locations wherever mass wander. We could look varied view of beam and its succession. People move attractively with the motion of striking beam.The seminar region and the domiciliation region are divided and as well related. The customer and his daughter own much staying mode. The crest creating is a dainty job and as well a business job.
