The German artist Stefan Strumbel questions on stereotypes associated with domestic culture of her homeland, the Black Forest, elaborating cliches with irreverence and a taste for the gruesome.
The result is this series of wall clocks that make the cuckoo clocks to the classics while annexing foreign elements such as skulls, guns, bones, along with pigs and mice suspended by the tail. All with a decidedly pop taste color.
The work of Strumbel were presented to the Gallery Gods Circleculture Berlin with an exhibition entitled Home Sweet Home.
