Now, there is new offering kind of house. Tony Owen Partners developed a new style of house namely The Moebius House. This family house faces onto views of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. This house puts forward the maximization of the light sources, space or area, the way that air will flow or air circulation, and views on a tight sight. Tony Owen Partners are also developed and research a more environmentally sensitive form of design called ‘micro. Micro design utilizes parametric modeling software which can respond to very small changes to design input criteria. In other word, micro design will response the reaction of the environmental then associated it with the model. In this case it can be maximizing ventilation, views and efficiency of structure and minimizing impacts to neighbor views and overshadowing were the key design criteria.
The unique form is a micro design response to the requirements to maintain or control view so that the view can be maximize and solar corridors which provided the light from the sunlight. Because of the complexity of this building geometry and the need for such fine tolerances, we had to evolve a completely new system of fabrication and assembly for this house. In the beginning, we try and start off designing a house, but in the end the construction process it more closely resembles that of a car. For the traditional house, normally we built the floor and then the walls, so that the roof can be placed. The Moebius House is being assembled around a chassis like a car would be.
