In the ongoing search for a personal balance between form and function, innovation and tradition, the young Israeli designer David Keller came across forms of craft close to him but to their distant origin, or the productions of his neighbors Ethiopian immigrants . The result is Axum and Lalibella, stools from the base color, inspired by the vibrant traditional Ethiopian costumes: stuffing, covered with rough fabric from the African country, is held by rubber bands, while the legs are painted in different shades from rings. The Paradigm Gallery, Tel Aviv exposes them these days as part of an exhibition entitled Joining Tissue.
